The Art of
Glass Fusing
Glass fusing is a precise, hands-on process where art is built in layers and transformed into a cohesive structure by intense heat during the kiln-firing phase.
Each design begins with carefully cut glass, designed and arranged to invite light to move through the piece. In the kiln, these layers soften and bond, creating the signature transparency and inner glow that makes fused glass feel alive.
"Painting technique" uses glass powders and frit (crushed glass) as pigments. By sifting, sprinkling, and blending these grains, we create bold vibrancy, soft gradients, and intricate details. As the piece fires, these "brushstrokes" melt into the surface, forming rich texture, depth, and a sense of movement that changes from different angles.
Whether finished as sleek, functional tableware—plates, bowls, and sculptural forms—or as framed wall panels, every piece is kiln-fired and slowly annealed for lasting strength, crafted to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
